- I acknowledge that my writing skills are not deserving of a blog, however I love to write and find that it's the best way to stay connected with friends and family back home. I moved to Austin in January of 2010 from Virginia, and enjoy sharing my experiences and stories with those who care to read them. I have worked in a rehabilitation and nursing home setting for the last four years, so you will find that many of my blog posts are inspired by the elderly. I enjoy live music, playing tennis, teaching myself to cook (more than just a grilled cheese), tubing on the lake, singing karaoke, riding rollercoasters, and most of all, being with the people I love.
